The capture chain
- Chalk hit → short stun.
- Red Card → the capture animation.
- Pillar → you’re tied next to the podium (“guardian” position, as Chinese players call it).
- Locked out → you can’t eat, throw or open drawers until freed (bug fix Oct 21 confirmed this rule).
Rescuing
- Walk up and untie. The time it takes grows with the number of students in the room (0.1.6), so an 8-player launch lobby will make rescues slower than the demo.
- Smoke bomb first, then untie — the smoke is meant for exactly this, though the teacher can still reach in from the edge.
- Bubble gum can pop a tied teammate free from a distance if the shot lands.
- The pillars were spread out on Oct 23 so a single rescue attempt doesn’t bunch everyone into one grab.
Why players complain
The most-replied English thread (“Game is flawed”) asks for three things: a break-free action, a penalty when the teacher red-cards an NPC by mistake, and a dedicated rescue item. None were in the demo. The launch build’s custom room settings (teacher count, item spawn rates) are the current answer; a break-free mechanic hasn’t been announced.
