Basics
- How Worst Class Ever works: rules, roles and how you winWorst Class Ever is an asymmetric party game: one Teacher (more in custom rooms at launch) versus up to 5 Troublemakers who hide among dozens of NPC classmates. Students win by filling the shared Mischief Points bar with pranks — snacking, passing notes, phone games — before the teacher catches every real player. The teacher wins by catching them all first. The teacher runs on Stamina: writing on the blackboard restores it, chasing and tying students up drains it.
- FAQNo solo mode — it's a 3-to-8-player online (or LAN at launch) game. No crossplay or consoles: Windows on Steam only. The demo is gone (removed Nov 3). Price unannounced as of Nov 5. The full game launches November 9 US / November 10 Asia-Europe.
Launch
- Release date, unlock time and priceWorst Class Ever launches on Steam on November 9, 2026 in US time zones — November 10 in Beijing, Europe's morning. Funcore Games' own posts say "November 10"; the Steam page shows "Nov 9" because Steam displays the date in US time. The exact unlock hour hasn't been published. The price hasn't been announced either — it is not free (Steam lists it as a paid game), and the demo was free until it was pulled on November 3. Windows only: no Mac, Linux, console or Steam Deck rating.
- Demo vs full game: what launch addsThe demo ran 6 players, 1 male teacher, 3 maps and public/friend rooms. The November 10 full game raises the cap to 8 players, adds a female homeroom teacher, up to 10 classroom themes, custom rooms with about 20 settings (player count, number of teachers, item spawn rates), more prank items, smoother servers and LAN mode. Price, the new items' names, the female teacher's differences and round length were not published before launch.
- Worst Class Ever vs Finals WeekThey're different games. Finals Week (DESTINYbit / Pretty Soon, released October 29) is a 1–4 player co-op game about cheating on an exam under a teacher's nose. Worst Class Ever (Funcore Games, November 10) is asymmetric PvP: one human teacher versus up to five human troublemakers hiding among dozens of NPCs, 8 players at launch. The viral clips of students eating burgers from drawers and being tied to pillars are Worst Class Ever.
- PC requirementsMinimum: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel i3-3240 or AMD FX-4300, 4 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2 GB, DirectX 11, 4 GB of space. Recommended: i5-3470, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1050 6 GB. It's a Unity game and runs on almost anything from the last decade. Windows only — no Mac/Linux builds, no Steam Deck verification and no controller-support flag on the Steam page.
Roles
- Playing the Teacher: tools, Stamina and spotting the real studentsThe teacher wins by catching every real player before the Mischief bar fills. Your budget is Stamina: writing on the blackboard refills it, walking the aisles and tying students to the pillars spend it, and since October 21 every catch refunds some (Teacher's Rage). Your tools are Chalk (long-range stun), a placeable Camera, a Radar that pings hidden students, and a Flashlight in the evening map. Real players give themselves away by moving when NPCs don't — and NPCs give themselves away with a quick mechanical head shake.
- Playing a Troublemaker: pranks, hiding and rescuesYou're one of up to five real students in a room full of NPCs. Fill the shared Mischief Points bar by snacking from your desk drawer, passing notes, using your phone, gaming in the Computer Lab, or hitting the teacher with a balloon — and don't get caught doing it. Act like an NPC when the teacher looks your way, crawl between desks to break line of sight, slip out the back door, and keep one teammate free to untie the others, because a tied-up student can't do anything until rescued.
Database
- All items: student pranks and teacher toolsStudents find props in their desk drawers (they restock) and around the room: Smoke Bomb, Flashbang, Tranquilizer Gun, Drone, Ink Bottle, Bubble Gum, Banana Peel and the Teacher's Lunch in the office. The teacher has Chalk (ranged stun), a placeable Camera, a Radar, a Flashlight for the dark map, the Red Card capture and the Wooden Pillars. No durations, ranges or cooldowns have been published; effects below come from Steam, official patch notes, Chinese press hands-ons and the Steam forum. The launch build promises "more prank items" — names unannounced.
- Maps and classroomsThe demo had three settings: the Daytime Classroom (a bright room with a lecture hall, corridor lockers, the teacher's office and an elevator between floors), the Evening Study Room (lights off, the teacher hunts with a flashlight) and the Computer Lab on the 4th floor (added October 23 — students sneak games on the PCs and the teacher reads screens from the aisle). The November 10 release promises up to 10 classroom themes; their names weren't published before launch.

Live
- Is Worst Class Ever down right now? Live server statusThe card below shows how many people are playing Worst Class Ever right now, straight from Steam's official player-count API, refreshed every 5 minutes. Before the November 10 launch it will read zero or empty — that's expected, the demo was removed on November 3. After launch: if the number looks normal, the servers are up and a join problem is on your end (usually a version mismatch — restart Steam to update).
- Worst Class Ever player count right nowThe number below is the live Worst Class Ever player count on Steam — people in the game at this moment, from the official API, refreshed every 5 minutes. Until the November 9/10 launch it will be empty (the demo was removed Nov 3). For scale: the free demo reached 600,000+ players and a concurrent peak of roughly 27,000, #1 at Steam Next Fest.
