The loop
- Sit and watch the first seconds. Learn where the teacher patrols and where the pillars are.
- Open the drawer when the teacher faces the board. Snacks and items spawn there and restock.
- Eat, text, pass notes — the bar is shared, so five students nibbling beats one hero.
- Break line of sight when a patrol comes: crawl (Oct 21), or go out the back door (every classroom has one that opens).
- Save one player for rescues. A tied-up teammate is a dead teammate until someone unties them.
Blending in
- NPC classmates turn to look when the teacher walks by. Copy that.
- The forum’s “Flaw with AI” thread says NPCs do a fast mechanical head shake; real players who sit perfectly still can stand out. Small, NPC-like movements are safer than freezing.
- Since Oct 23 NPCs also leave their seats and wander, so being out of your seat isn’t an instant tell any more — being out of your seat with a burger is.
- Student models aren’t random: players report the same handful of looks repeat, so the teacher can’t pick you by uniform.
Items you’ll find (full list on the items page)
- Smoke Bomb — cover for a rescue. Weak alone; the teacher can grab from the edge.
- Flashbang — blinds everyone, including your own team.
- Tranquilizer Gun — puts the teacher down briefly. Rare.
- Ink Bottle — covers the middle of the teacher’s screen.
- Bubble Gum — screen cover plus it can pop a teammate loose from the pillar; aim is random.
- Banana Peel — drop it in an aisle the teacher uses.
- Balloon — a hit on the teacher adds Mischief (0.1.7).
Map-specific pranks
- Computer Lab (4th floor): play games on the PC. The teacher can see your screen from the aisle, so alt-tab when they’re far.
- Evening Study Room: the lights are off and the teacher has a flashlight — stay out of the beam.
- Daytime Classroom: the back door, the lockers in the corridor and the office (Teacher’s Lunch) are your escape and loot routes.
Why you keep losing (and what the launch changes)
Demo players felt the teacher was too strong: chalk range, hard rescues, no break-free. Funcore tuned balance in 0.1.7 and 0.1.9 (fewer points needed in small rooms, item spawn scaling) and the November 10 build adds custom room settings — a host can lower teacher count or raise item spawn rates for a friendlier lobby.
