Worst Class Ever Guide

Playing the Teacher: tools, Stamina and spotting the real students

Updated · Roles

Quick answer

The teacher wins by catching every real player before the Mischief bar fills. Your budget is Stamina: writing on the blackboard refills it, walking the aisles and tying students to the pillars spend it, and since October 21 every catch refunds some (Teacher's Rage). Your tools are Chalk (long-range stun), a placeable Camera, a Radar that pings hidden students, and a Flashlight in the evening map. Real players give themselves away by moving when NPCs don't — and NPCs give themselves away with a quick mechanical head shake.

Your Stamina loop

  1. Write on the blackboard — this is your refill. You can still walk a little and glance sideways while writing.
  2. Patrol when you have a lead: aisle, back rows, the back door, the drawers.
  3. Chalk a suspect — it’s long-range and fast, and a hit stuns.
  4. Tie them to a pillar by the podium. This costs Stamina, but every capture also refunds some (Teacher’s Rage, Oct 21).
  5. Back to the board before you drop too low. Collapse and the class runs wild until you get up.

Launch changes that affect you

The November 10 build adds a female homeroom teacher (differences unpublished), multiple teachers per room via custom settings, and 8-player lobbies. Dynamic balance already means bigger rooms give you Stamina back per catch.

FAQ

How do I tell real players from NPCs?

Watch behaviour, not models. Forum players found NPCs do a quick, mechanical head shake when you approach, while real players tend to freeze or move oddly. Students holding items, crawling, or heading for the back door are real.

Why did my teacher collapse?

Stamina hit zero. Go back to the blackboard and write to recover before you patrol again.

Is the teacher overpowered?

Many forum threads say yes in the demo — long-range chalk, reliable captures, hard rescues. The developer rebalanced several times (0.1.7, 0.1.9) and the launch build adds custom room settings so hosts can tune it.

What does the camera do?

You place it, then switch to its view to watch an area you're not standing in — good for the back door and the far rows.

Can the teacher hear students?

Players report the teacher gets a rough sense of where noise comes from, which is why eating sounds matter.
